Consuegra is a good location to visit the windmills and castle above the town and they are very well worth a visit.
There is not a great deal of choice of hotels in the town and with the benefit of hindsight I would have visited the windmills and castle in the morning and then had lunch near the Plaza España at restaurant Gaudy which is absolutely terrific. There are very few bars in Consuegra and the only 2 we found did not open until 20.00 hours or later in the evening. While there are a good number of restaurants open for lunch they are mainly closed in the evenings, certainly during the week. To sum up, make it a day visit and stay somewhere else.

After a month in Spain and so many hotels I can say this was the loveliest place we stayed. The hotel is beautiful. The beds comfortable, the location perfect. The host was very helpful. The breakfast was very nice and well-presented. OJ was fresh. The patio for our room had a view of the windmills. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Interesting walking through the old town and the Plaza Espana. Also interesting to people watch along the promenade by the (waterless) river. Plenty of choices for snacks and drinks - almost like chiringuitos but miles from the beach!
A drive or a walk up to the windmills and castle is well worth taking. Handy for dog walking too.

We went to see Don Quixote's windmills.
We went to see Don Quixote's windmills. There are 13 windmills along a ridge plus a castle. Its very photogenic. One of the windmills has been made into a museum and another a bar, which was packed with locals at 11 pm! Lovely.
The Plaza Espana has a couple of restaurant/bars and there are other lovely restaurants around the town, some are very up market!

The reception staff were excellent.
The reception staff were excellent. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. The bed was exceptionally cosy. We also liked the atmosphere in the adjoining cafe/bar, which had a good selection of food for evening meal.
Breakfast was only fair in terms of choice and variety of food on offer. Service was very slow and the waitress not particularly friendly.
Fantastic property with a view from the balcony of the windmills and castle at Consuegra. The property is very large, offers safe parking and is exceptionally well equipped and comfortable for a short or long stay. The bed in the master suite is very comfortable and blackout shutters ensure a good night's sleep. The road is very quiet. A selection of breakfast and snack food is supplied. Ma.Angeles met us at the property and explained everything. Highly recommended, we would be very happy to return.
Let's start with the welcome/reception. Unfortunately can't recall the name of the lady that was at reception, took us to the parking down the street, help with the luggage and was so friendly, attentive and helpful. She was fantastic and what a way to welcome us into Consuegra. The apartment was excellent, the view of the "molinos" was unique, room was very clean and well stock, with a wonderful and simple breakfast we had in the terrace.
The young lady who checked us in was a delight. Even though her English was limited as was our Spanish she went to great effort, speaking slowly to give us all the information we needed plus gave us info about the town, etc. .She is a real asset to the hotel!
The room and bathroom were very nice, nicely decorated and very clean. WE ate at the r estaurant next door and had a very good meal, well priced.
When you come to Consuegra, this is the place to stay. Modern well appointed rooms and common areas. Excellent breakfast. Parking limited in garage (15 euros/night) or free on street in front of hotel. We took Room 7 which had a large private patio outside our room with a view of 4 windmills on the nearby ridge. The Director very accommodating and proud of his hotel. He sells an excellent red wine.
Fantastic boutique hotel in great location, the pool was a welcome sight after a day sightseeing around Consuegra and the La Mancha windmills. The staff are friendly and helpful and offered great advice on restaruants and places to visit. Free parking is avialable on the street but limited to first in best dressed. Breakfast was excellent and had a large selection of edibles and coffee a machine.
Consuegra was a logical place for us to stay on our road trip, but it is worth a visit for sure. On the outside the hotel doesn't look like much, but on the inside the room, lobby and terrace are all nice. Staying here made our stay in Consuegra really more special and for the price it is a great value.
Perfect position for discovering the little town the hotel was quirky the rooms were clean and the bathrooms had been upgraded. There is a very small pool which I went for a dip and about 6 sun loungers it’s in a court yard which is very pretty. This is the second time I’ve stayed here.
Can not fault anything else. The staff, breakfast, the room. Excellent. It was a very old house with all mod cons. Beautiful. A 10 minute car ride away from the famous Molinos de Viento. Consuegra is a very old historic town.
We enjoyed our 1 night stay in this hotel.
The room was beautifully decorated and very big.
The staff were super friendly.
It is a couple of kilometres from the main centre of town.
Highly recommend - would stay again.
Great, HUGE House.
Very well equipped.
Parking.
One minute from “Molinos de Viento de Consuegra”.
It is very nice to walk there in the morning.
Nice bars in the evening.
And the most important - Maria - the host.
The hotel had everything one needed for a short trip. The young lady receptionist was so nice, welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Don’t underestimate the cafe which we did due to my poor Spanish.
Good rooms, nice bed, but should have had fridge in room. Also, cafe wasnt open on mondays. the hotel and wensite should have pointed this out VERY explicitly.
A unique and beautifully restored old tower, in the centre of Consuegra, easy parking and very friendly, welcoming owners. Fully deserving of its high rating.
