Valencia is full of fun for the whole family!
There’s no shortage of things to do in this vibrant, lively city on Spain’s eastern coast. From the wide avenues of the city center to the kilometers of stunning beaches that line the coast, Valencia is full of fun for all ages. If you’ve got little ones in tow, here are some of our favorite kid-friendly activities in Valencia that children are sure to love.
Spend a day at the City of Arts and Sciences
Kids will love seeing more than 500 different marine species at Oceanogràfic, Europe’s largest aquarium, and one of the most impressive parts of this amazing complex. Another favorite is the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum, which is full of fun interactive exhibits and also offers science workshops for kids. Additionally, the famous Hemisfèric building hosts a planetarium and IMAX cinema (kid-friendly films are shown at least once a day).

Take a day trip to Benidorm
Just an hour and a half down the coast lies the vacation hotspot of Benidorm. Although smaller in size than Valencia, it’s packed with activities kids will love. The Terra Mítica theme park is one of the most exciting in Europe. Benidorm also offers a wide variety of water parks and nature exhibitions that are sure to fascinate and delight even the littlest travelers.
View history in a new way at L’Iber, the Toy Soldiers Museum
Lots of kids play with toy soldiers while growing up. At the fascinating L’Iber museum, get ready to see these classic toys like never before. Tiny toy soldiers are arranged in fascinating displays that depict famous wars and battles throughout history. It’s one of the most unique kid-friendly activities in Valencia and a fun way to see history on a smaller scale.
Enjoy a unique literary playground
This unique playground takes its inspiration from classic literature! Adults might be familiar with Gulliver’s Travels, in which hundreds of tiny people tie up the title character. At Gulliver Park, kids can run around and climb on a gigantic “Gulliver,” just like the tiny people in the story.
The park is located in the Jardines del Turia, a beautiful green space constructed in the old Turia river bed. Other whimsical attractions nearby also include a scale model of Valencia, a mini golf course, a giant chessboard and a skate park!
Walk in athletes’ footsteps at Mestalla Stadium
Traveling with a little one who plays soccer back home? Time to show them the big leagues! Mestalla Stadium, home of Valencia FC, is the third-most-visited soccer stadium in Spain. Join the millions who have visited this iconic venue by taking a stadium tour!
The Mestalla tour gives kids (and grown ups!) a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience life as some of Spain’s best athletes. Your kids will feel like VIPs as they visit the press room, the locker room, and even walk out onto the enormous field.
