The best sangrias in Spain are made at home! Try this authentic recipe for a refreshing taste of Spain on a hot day. It's a great crowd pleaser for summer barbecues, too!

Ingredients
1.5 bottles red wine 2 oranges 1 lemon 1 cinnamon stick 3 tbsp sugar (optional) 1 green apple (optional) 2 peaches or apricots (optional) Citrus or plain soda (optional) 2 oz brandy or vermouth (optional)

If using the sugar, make a simple syrup and let cool.
Wash the oranges, peel off large chunks of the rind, then juice them.
Then repeat with the lemons!
Add the wine to a large pitcher and stir in the citrus juices, rinds, and simple syrup if using.
Give it a good stir and add in any additional spices, fruits, or alcohol you want to use.
If using the soda, add that in right before serving. Enjoy with your favorite Spanish tapas!
