Ingredients

  • 1 bottle dry Spanish rosé wine
  • 1 cup freshly-squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • ¾ cup gin or vodka if you prefer
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • 1 handful fresh mint leaves
  • simple syrup to taste optional

Instructions

  • Combine the wine, gin, orange juice, and strawberries in a large pitcher. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
  • After chilling, taste the sangria. Add simple syrup, honey, or more orange juice to sweeten to taste.
  • When ready to serve, top up the pitcher with the sparkling water and garnish with the raspberries and mint leaves.
  • Pour into small glasses and enjoy cold!

Notes

  • For the best results, always use a wine that you would be happy to drink by itself.
  • I love the sourness you get from adding a bit of gin, but feel free to use vodka for a more muted taste.
